The State of Queensland is the countrys second largest state and covers 1,728,000 square kilometres with Brisbane its capital city. The Queensland state equals the combined countries of France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Belgium, or it is one-fifth of the United States of America, or nearly five times the size of Japan or Britain!
The Queensland coastline stretches for 7,400 kilometres of magnificent sandy beaches incorporating the wondrous Great Barrier Reef. The Queensland outback covers more than one million square kilometres of red plains, deserts and tropical rain forests and wetlands.
The cosmopolitan host city Brisbane is situated on the Brisbane River and enjoys a sub-tropical environment and second to none cosmopolitan experiences. The Convention Centre is located on the South Bank of the Brisbane River suitably very close to all the city has to offer.
