3 May'07  Notice to Authors' - poster & ePoster presentation guidelines

Instructions for Medinfo 2007, Poster and ePoster Presenting Authors Registration:
You are invited to register for the congress at the presenter rate, no later than the 30th May. You must register for your paper and ePoster to be included in the congress publication.

Paper for congress publishing:
Medinfo SPC and OC members request you re-submit your original paper, using the same guidelines, as a two page structured paper. Your 2 page structured paper should concisely contain information using the following headings: Abstract, keywords, introduction, methods, results, discussion and conclusion.

We request you re-submit your paper in the above format for congress proceedings CD ROM. The re-submission uploading period is the 14 - 31 May 2007, per the web based system found at wwww.medinfo.online-registry.net under your original registration. You may have already re-submitted, thank you, but please check the paper is correct against these guidelines. Should your paper be correct then please do not resubmit again as the paper will be re-reviewed during early June in preparation for the proceedings.

Poster presentation (hard-copy):
Posters are bought to the congress by the presenter and presented per the program, ie the allocated day and session. Please place your poster under the P# described in the program. On the day of your session please go to the third floor, Convention Centre Plaza Level corridor and place you poster in the correct P# position. Please be present at your poster for the session commencing at 1400 and remain till close at 1530.

You may use your laptop as well; however electricity will NOT be available. So be sure you have enough battery power for the session time. Your poster is to be removed at the completion of the session.

Poster (hard-copy) dimensions:
AO print size, ie 841mm x 1189mm. Paper stock, matt or gloss
Professional preparation, including printing and laminating, will enhance your presentation.

ePoster (soft-copy):
In conjunction with the hard-copy poster we invite you to prepare 12 MS PPT slides that best describes your work. Slide 1. topic, author(s) affiliation etc. remaining 10 slides your work and the final slide 12. the references, acknowledgments and contact details. Medinfo 2007, like other HISA conferences in Australia, will prepare and present your ePoster (PDF) for attendees to view at the ePoster PC stand and download at the USB desks.

* We request your ePoster is sent to   by 31st May for our pre-congress preparations.
** Each attending delegate will receive a 512kb USB drive as a component of their registration. Your ePoster will be available for delegates at the USB download desks, in the EXPO hall.

Copyright Clearance:
Copyright clearance is required by 31st May also. Please find the form attached to this email.

Poster Tips:
The poster framework or layout should indicate to the attendees the reading order.
Use clear labels for each section of the poster.
Use lettering (font size) that can be read from a distance of 1.5 meters. Make sure the poster reader-friendly, ie clear and concise? Can you draw attendees to your poster?
Can colleagues quickly examine the poster and understand its major points?
Would an interested attendee learn enough from your information to ask informed questions?
Does it stimulate conversation?
